South Africa- Hit and Miss?

Well they may have smashed us in on our soil, but can South Africa do it again?

Well maybe it was because we came in with a will to win, that drive to come forward and really put in the effort.

I was just thinking maybe the South Africans came into this competition thinking that we didnt have a chance in the world, thinking that they could just stride in and expect to win straight away.

A little self-absorbed with their sucess in the past.

While Australia came in knowing that everything depended on this series, their reputation, their fans and most important their ranking.

I sit her today with about 1 and a half hours before play starts, South africa are chasing a total of 546 runs and are currently on 2/224.

With one day of play left, I have all the faith in the world that we can pull it off, prove to everybody with a little faith we can come through all of these losses with a stunning win.

Can we beat the Yarpies

Can we beat the Yarpies?

I think everybody is asking the same question: can we beat the Yarpies??

Yes we might have been, some may say, ‘smashed’ by them last time.

But there is hope in young and new talent, in the form of North, Ferguson and many more.

This isn’t the first time Australia has gone through a hard time but last time we got through it
and ended up winning 16 tests in a row, a world record.

Legendary Allan Border pulled us out of that hard situation, although I am one of Ricky Ponting’s
biggest fans I have some doubts in my mind he can do what AB did.

That brings me to think about Michael Clarke, could he be the new AB could he bring us out of this hard situation?

Some may say yes, and I do.

Since he debuted people have said he would be the captain, at the age of just 27 he is already vice-captain.

I am a big fan of his, I don’t know why but I just love the way he plays.

So back on point, I do think we can beat the Yarpies.

They are going into this competition think they are the sure winners while Australia have the
drive and will to win.

We want this more than anything and we have blossoming young players.

Well while I am writing this there is about 1 and a half hours before play starts and I am praying I have chosen my fantasy league well 

Haddin-Broom Controversy

On the first ODI between AUS and NZ, the important wicket of Broom was thought to be bowled by Clarke but as the slow-motion pictures came out it showed that maybe he wasnt bowled and the gloves of Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin had knocked the bails of the stumps themselves, Haddin was said to be a cheater by Kiwi captain Daniel Vettori because he didnt speak up as broom left the field but Australian captain Ricky Ponting believes that the controversial wicket was not a factor of cheating.

I believe that Haddin did not intentionally knock the bails off, maybe he didnt even hit them. A clicking sound came up on the snicko,a sound that the ball hitting the gloves would not have made. Even if Haddin did knock of the bails, I dont think he knew and I dont think he did it on purpose.

As I watch the 3rd game I wonder whether Australia has any faith in their team as we go through a rebuilding stage. As I watched the cricket and listened to my dad saying that the team was crap I thought to myself :Is this country so used to winning for so long, that when we go through a little bit of a drought do we lose all faith in the team, do we stop supporting them? I myself would never give up on the team, as I look up to them, they are my role-models. This is like the Eagles situation, in the short life of the Eagles they have dominated, last year they didnt have the best season and they last almost all their fans.

Au stralia need to learn how to be faithfull to their team no matter what.

Well im going to go watch the rest of the cricket, the score at the moment is 3-98 in the 2nd over. Australias final score was 301, which I think is a very good score. GO AUSSIE!!

Wow I have just met some amazing people!

Wow,
What a day, there I was playing Pulse thinking the people who worked for it were just people who were good with computers when I found out Benjamin Ridgeway,a man who I have made a friendship with, knows the whole Australian cricket team personally and played Semi-pro!Ok it is my dream to meet the Aussie cricket team and this man knows them all! That is crazy for me.Then I was asking another man who works for Pulse about who created Hawk-eye,the technology enabling officials and umpires the ability to make proper decisions and back-up their ruling, when he said it was him!Hawk-eye is something I thought a huge corporation made but the creater was talking right to me!What a day!

My first post and the 2 Twenty/20's!

Hi,
My name is India and I am14,I love cricket it has to be one of my most favourite hobbies/interests!Ok On this blog I am going to discuss my opinions on the games and affairs of the Australian cricket team.

I think we can all agree that the Twenty/20s were great to watch, one of the stand-outs for me on the first 20/20 was obviously Warner,he smashed the ball aorund on his First-class debut for 6 sixes and 7 fours. People may say we are in a cricket drought, losing our legends and only having un-experienced, young players who really cant hold up the team at such a high level, but I totally disagree and Warner just backs up my argument, we have wonderful young talent coming through and becoming new legends of the game, plus we have our semi-experienced players: Pup Clarke,Mike Hussey etc. These players are the leaders who will carry us through the ups and downs. Another stand-out of bravery I have to say was A.B. de Villiers, who had a cricket all rammed into his side at 155kph and walked of the field,It amazes me that an experienced player was hit so hard that he collapsed and couldnt control his bat! Yes he only finished with a score of 0 run,or a duck, his bravery was absolutely amazing.Although I am a strong Australian supporter I do have to say the South African teams bravery has really proved itself to be of a very high standard. So carrying on Australia won by 52 runs, bowling out RSA. I thoroughly enjoyede watching this match and I am sure so did the millions of other Australians at the ground or watching it in the comfort of their own home.

While I watch the cricket I tune into KFC Pulse,a great program which updates live scores and you can win points through each ball.I love playing Pulse it just really adds another dimention to the cricket.

So getting back to the second 20/20,JP Duminy seems to be able to do anything!Amazing catches, large batting scores it just doesnt end. When Albie Morkel dropped a catched I noticed a green laser around him and I was a bit sceptic as to why this green light was hovering around him but my family didnt beleive that there was anything there as they all have horrible eyesight!

So I have never blogged before so this is a little scrappy but you know practice makes perfect,so comment and I will try to improve!
